Pennsic XXXVIIII (2010) Archery Results

Populace War Points    (2 war points, shot over 4 days)
Archers could shoot each of the 3 shoots a total of 4 times, twice on the first 2 days for the first war point, and twice on the last 2 days for the second war point.
The 3 populace shoots were run as follows:
- Castle Window: At 25 to 30 yards and timed (30 seconds); archers scored 2 points for each shot in the "+" shaped window slot.
- Clout with Moat: Shots landing inside the 30' circle were worth 2 points; shots hitting the painted stones in the center were worth 3 points; shots hitting the "+" shaped castle window were worth 4 points; there was a "moat" at 50 yards worth 1 point, with a "moat monster" in it worth 2 points; 6 shots, untimed.
- Soldiers: 6 shots, untimed; targets were ranks of warriors at 15, 35, 45 and 55 yards, worth 1, 2, 3 and 4 points, respectively; archers could shoot at any target they wished with their 6 shots.

Archery Champions Team Tournement    (1 war point; shot Monday 8/9/2010)
This year there were two teams of 40. The winner of each of the 3 shoots was determined by total points scored, and the side which won the majority of the shoots earned the war point.
- The Roving Range had a "Star Trek" theme at 10 stations.
- Friend/Foe: on a target at about 25 yards, archers had 30 seconds to hit a small black rectangle (a "tricorder") for 1 point each, while avoiding hits on the surrounding figure ("Mister Spock") for negative 1 point each.
- Long Distance: all team members took 2 shots each from 6 different unknown distances estimated to be between 180 and 35 yards; the target was a "Krakken" for 2 points, or the board surrounding it for 1 point.
