Called for years the Queen’s and King’s Archery Champions and renamed the Consort’s and Sovereign’s Archery Champions (about 2020), “Royal” is my preference for simplification. The duties of serving as a Royal Champion include running the tournament to select their successors. The following pages provide accounts of the competitions for which details are available.
